Alex Herriot embodies what it truly means to be a Presbyterian College Blue Hose Football player. He is a tireless worker who led by example, showing up every day with consistency, focus, and a strong work ethic. His football intelligence is exceptional—he learns quickly, grasps complex concepts with ease, and understands how and when to apply them in real-time situations. Alex’s loyalty to his coaches, teammates, and this program speaks volumes. Despite having opportunities to pursue larger programs, he chose to remain at PC and see his commitment through, a decision that reflects his character and integrity. Alex and his family hold a special place in my heart, and I’m confident our relationship will continue well beyond his playing days. He was never afraid to express his emotions or voice his concerns to me, and that openness is one of the many reasons I hold him in such high regard. Replacing someone like Alex Herriot—on and off the field—will be a tremendous challenge.
