We’re excited to announce, 12 Hidden Gemz Sports Scouting clients have accepted invites to the inaugural Tazon Mayan Bowl to be played in Chihuahua, Mexico on December 7th, 2024. Created by and tied directly to the International Football Alliance which begins their first ever season on May 31, 2025, the Mayan Bowl will serve as a post season bowl game for recent college seniors. Due to the fact that college seniors in Mexico are age 25 upon graduation, American seniors are being allowed to be up to that age as well. It doesn’t matter what college level you played at, you just have to be submitted and catch the eye of the IFA to be invited.
The event will begin on December 2d with athletes arriving in El Paso, Texas. All athletes will be picked up and taken to a hotel in El Paso as this will be the rally point for all athletes and coaches. Athletes will stay in a hotel in El Paso for the first night. They’ll receive lunch and dinner that day provided by the bowl committee. On December 3d, all athletes will eat breakfast and then be bussed down across the border to Chihuahua, Mexico where they will be put up in a hotel by the bowl committee and provided 3 meals a day. Players will be transported from the hotel to practice and back each day. The bowl game itself will take place on December 7th at Jose Reyes Baeza Terrazas Stadium in Chihuahua. Players will have breakfast on the 8th of December and then be bussed back to El Paso, Texas where they will depart and head home.
The American team will be coached by Noel Mazzone who spent time coaching at Texas A & M and UCLA, as well as with the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL and the New York Jets of the NFL.
